Introduction

PqW estimates the Cisco 360 LAND rebate on a quote as you build it, but existing quotes do not update on their own when the underlying inputs change. When your PVI score changes, or Cisco publishes a new Eligible Offers file, the quotes you built earlier still show the estimate that applied at the time. This article shows you how to recalculate CPI across many existing quotes at once, from the Search Quotes page.

Note: The Cisco CPI displayed in StrataVAR PqW is an estimate based on Cisco's published information accessible to StrataVAR, and the rebates are not guaranteed by Cisco or StrataVAR. It is provided only for informational purposes.

Why Recalculation is Needed and Where it Fits in LAND Rebate Estimate

Changing a PVI score, or refreshing the Eligible Offers file, does not automatically update quotes that already exist. Recalculation is how you bring those quotes up to date. It is most useful in these situations:

  • After a PVI change: When your partner standing changes for a period, recalculate the affected quotes so they reflect the new tier and rebate rate.
  • At the end of a quarter or Incentive Period: Bring a batch of quotes current before you rely on the figures for reporting or forecasting.
  • After the Eligible Offers file is refreshed: When a new file is ingested, recalculate so quotes use the latest published rebate percentages.
  • When quotes show an Invalid status: Recalculating clears the Invalid status once the estimate completes successfully.
  • To value past quotes against a specific date: Recalculating uses each quote's CPI Effective Date, so a quote is valued against the PVI and offers data that applied at that point in time.

Prerequisites

  • Access to the Cisco 360 CPI Configuration page and the Search Quotes and Quote Items page.
  • Your PVI scores and the Eligible Offers file should be current. Recalculation reflects the inputs in place when it runs, so if these are out of date, the refreshed estimates will be too. To review or update them, see How to set up Business Entities and enter PVI scores.

Step-By-Step Process to Recalculate CPI

Step 1: Open the Search Quotes and Quote Items Page

Recalculation runs from the Search Quotes and Quote Items page.

  1. You can reach it from the Cisco 360 CPI Config page using the recalculation link, which redirects you to Search Quotes and Quote Items. This option is only available for PqW Admin users.
  2.  If you are a standard user, open the Search Quotes and Quote Items page directly from the App Launcher (9 dots menu).

Step 2: Filter to the quotes you want to recalculate

  1. Use the server filters to narrow the list and click the Apply button to load the quotes list. You can filter data based on the following fields:
  • Account
  • Opportunity
  • Total Extended Price

Above fields are directly visible on the top. Other fields for server-filters can be accessed through the Add remaining filters (the +sign) next to currently visible filter options.

  • Quote Stage
  • Active / Inactive (defaults to Active)
  • Opportunity Status

You can also sort and filter by CPI Effective Date to focus on quotes from a particular period. Apply the filters to update the list, and clear them if you want to start again. The summary line shows how many quotes match.

Step 3: Review the results

The results table lists the matching quotes with their key details, including Quote Number, Quote Name, Quote Stage, CPI Effective Date, and VAR Total Cost. Sort the columns if it helps you find the quotes you want. Use the page size control to show more quotes per page.

Step 4: Select the quotes

Select the quotes you want to recalculate using the checkboxes.

Important: Select All acts on every quote that matches your current filters, not only the quotes visible on the page you are viewing. If you have filtered to a large set, Select All will include all of them across every page. Check your filters and the result count before selecting all, so you recalculate only the quotes you intend to.

The summary line updates to show how many quotes you have selected./

Step 5: Run the recalculation

  1. Click Recalculate CPI on Selected Quote(s) button as shown above.
  2. Review the details in the confirmation prompt and confirm to start.

PqW runs the recalculation as a background job or on the same screen, depending on the option chosen on the confirmation screen. When you select notify by mail, the process runs in the background, so you do not have to wait on the page. You will receive an email when the job is complete. Alternatively, if you select to wait, the process will run, and you will get an alert on completion of recalculation.

What Happens After Recalculation

Each selected quote is re-estimated using the PVI and Eligible Offers data that apply to that quote's CPI Effective Date. Any quote that was showing an Invalid status becomes Valid once its estimate completes successfully. You can open a quote and check its Estimated CPI Information section to see the refreshed figures.

Summary

When your PVI or Eligible Offers data changes, existing quotes do not update automatically. From the Search Quotes page, you can filter to the quotes you need, select them (including every quote across all filtered pages with Select All), and run a single recalculation. PqW processes the job in the background and emails you when it is done, bringing your chosen quotes back in line with the current inputs.
