Cisco True Forward is a unique adjustment mechanism applicable only to Cisco Enterprise Agreement (EA)–based subscriptions, where customer usage is periodically reviewed and aligned with the contracted entitlements. Tracking these renewals helps ensure accurate billing alignment and timely renewal execution.

1. Overview of True Forward Renewal Charts
The Cisco True Forward Renewal section of the Subscription Dashboard includes three dedicated charts:
Upcoming True Forward in 90 Days
Upcoming True Forward in 60 Days
Upcoming True Forward in 30 Days
Each chart represents Cisco True Forward subscriptions that are due for renewal within the indicated timeframe.
These charts are specifically applicable to Cisco subscriptions under Enterprise Agreements, since True Forward applies to that model.
2. Understanding Chart Data and Behavior
Each pie chart displays account-wise segmentation of upcoming renewals.
The slices represent accounts, and the value of each slice indicates the total subscription value (amount) managed for Cisco True Forward renewals within that timeframe.
Hovering over a slice displays:
Account Name
Subscription Value (Amount)
Only Cisco vendor subscriptions are shown in these charts, as the True Forward concept applies exclusively to Cisco.
💡 Note: The chart values are based on the Managed Subscription Value, which reflects the aggregated renewal value for the specific accounts.
3.Viewing Account-Level Data in Charts
You can interact with the charts in two ways:
- Hover over a slice to see the tooltip containing account name and True Forward renewal value.
- Click a slice or chart title to view corresponding records in detail.
The navigation behavior changes depending on the interaction:
Clicking the chart title opens the Managed Subscription Console, displaying all subscriptions for that timeframe (30/60/90 days).
Clicking a specific slice filters the view further by that account and True Forward date range.
4. Navigating to Managed Subscription Console
When you click on a Cisco True Forward chart or slice:
The system redirects you to the Managed Subscription Console.
The console automatically applies filters corresponding to the chart type and timeframe (e.g., “True Forward due within 30 days”).
If a slice was clicked, additional account-based filters are pre-applied.
You can view details such as: Account Stage, Renewal Project Type, Part Number, Expiration Date, Next True Forward Date and so on.
📘 Tip: Use this view to verify upcoming renewals and take early renewal actions for accounts approaching True Forward alignment.
5. Applying and Customizing Filters
You can customize the displayed data in each chart by using the Filter Graph By option (accessible via the blue filter icon on each chart).
The filter window allows you to adjust:
| Filter Type | Options Available | Description |
|---|---|---|
| Setup Type | Default Setup / Custom | Choose between system default (90 days, all accounts) or custom settings. |
| Date Range | Coming 30 / 60 / 90 Days / Other | Select the timeframe for upcoming True Forward renewals. |
| Number of Accounts to Show | All / Top 10 / Top 20 / Other | Define how many accounts appear on the chart. |
By default:
The three charts display Coming 90/60/30 Days and All Accounts.
Selecting “Custom” lets you define specific date ranges or restrict data to key accounts.
After applying filters, click Save Settings to refresh the chart view.
The filters directly influence which records appear when you navigate to the Managed Subscription Console.
